Williamsburg Ruritan Club honors Rick Winfrey as a 2019 Community Champion
Rick Winfrey is a lifetime resident of Williamsburg. He and his wife Shirley, of 35 years, have raised two sons, Chris and Matthew and have three grandchildren, Lucious, Zaidon and Rose Marie.
Rick has been with fire and rescue for many years. He started with being a Junior member in 1974 and has been active since 1975. He worked in the coal mines and Jan-Care until recently and he now brings his talents to help the Williamsburg Fire Department more than ever, stepping up to be our Fire Chief.
Among the many contributions to our town, he has been working with others to reset and clean up the local cemeteries and working with the fire department to have the first annual Pig Pickin Bluegrass Festival fundraiser and he is also an active member in Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church. 1/7/2019
